How precisely does your brain perceive and order colors?
This test measures how finely you can order subtle hue differences, similar in spirit to the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test used in industry. Human color vision relies on three cone types; genetic variations affecting the L or M cones cause red-green deficiencies in roughly 8% of men and 0.5% of women worldwide.
Most people make some errors in the blue-green and red-purple transition zones. Consistent error clusters along specific confusion axes may suggest a color vision deficiency β but screen calibration, brightness, night-mode filters and ambient lighting strongly affect results, so treat this as a fun screening, not a diagnosis. Occupational certification (aviation, electrical work, maritime) requires standardized tests such as Ishihara plates under controlled lighting.
Can color vision deficiency be corrected? No cure exists; notch-filter glasses can enhance contrast between confused colors for some people but don't restore normal trichromacy.
